The conference includes 13 different sessions ranging from 1 to 2.5 hours.
If you attend all session times you will receive 11.5 CEU’s total. Sessions have been designed to meet the needs of individuals working in all types of senior care services and communities. All sessions have been submitted for pre-approval from both NCCAP and the University of Tennessee professional development department. The content and objectives of each session also meet the requirements for Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, transcript applications from the University of Tennessee will be available for an additional $25.00 fee.
MNSWAP is excited to bring back the poster session exhibit of what you do best in your activity program to the conference. At the Wednesday night grand opening/vendor exhibit participants will have the opportunity to learn and share fun and exciting activity ideas. Do you have a unique program or event? A great way to kick-off our conference, the opening of the exhibit area with a appetizer buffet, beverages and a cash bar. There will be drawings for door prizes, plus a grand prize finale not too be missed! The Lucky Buck Auction which has now become an annual event, will also be happening at this time. This is also a great time to visit the Poster Board displays and see all the great ideas. The grand opening event will take place pool side from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Thursday evening banquet includes our annual awards ceremony, election speeches and reflections on the past MN SWAP year. Following dinner and the awards ceremony please join us for musical program entitled Finding Your Rhythm of Life, by Tim Eggebraaten. Tim will also be our opening keynote on Friday morning as he shares life lessons he learned as a Police chief and First Responder.
Tim Eggebraaten presents a riveting and emotional story of how transforming from Chief of Police to professional speaker and entertainer has provided the spiritual and emotional health he has always been seeking to fulfill his life journey. Tim will talk and sing about keeping harmony in our lives and finding balance so that we can truly be successful in all aspects of our lives.
