Morning Session
Trauma Informed Care and the Activity Professional

Phase 3 of the requirements of participation is focused on meeting the behavioral health needs of our residents.  This session will address the role of the Activity Professional in trauma informed care.  Participants will be able to apply person-centered interventions to meet the needs of older adults experiencing trauma while living in their facilities.

Afternoon Sessions

Ask the Expert – What Do We REALLY Need to Know?

This mini-session will provide a quick review of current survey trends in activities and other regulatory focus points. The session will provide a brief brain-storming session on educational needs for the activity professional for the future.  The ideas and topics from this brain storming session will be integrated in the planning of fall conference sessions and the “Ask the Experts Panel” special pre-session.

Supportive Documentation for the Comprehensive Care Plan
Documentation is important not only to validate the care that we are providing but it now also supports the reimbursement that we are receiving in today’s world.  Supporting documentation is necessary from all disciplines including activities.  This session will provide simple, common-sense techniques and documentation strategies for resident centered comprehensive care plans.

See Education page for more information and online registration.

Registration fee includes lunch and refreshment breaks.
